The bongs of Big Ben at at 23:00 GMT at the Palace of Westminster in London have signalled the UK's departure from EU trading rules.
The trade deal was agreed by the two sides on Christmas Eve, and passed by MPs on Wednesday. It means changes to UK rules on travel, trade, immigration and security. Big Ben has been being undergoing restoration work since 2017, but the chimes were turned back on for the historic day.

I think the BBC camera is off centered with the clock face, i think it’s probably the perspective angle that gives that illusion. The clock hands are being driven by an electric motor and the bell is being struck by a winch dropping the hammer.

From what I understood, only old people voted Brexit. They could not see how UK was falling down to EU rules. The young generation was fine with being in UK. Now we have Coronavirus. It's deadly to old people and is killing a lot of old people. My question here is what's the point of Brexit voted by those who are not with us anymore?
